Shannon Lambert

Director

Shannon grew up in the metropolitan city of El Campo, TX. Her mascot was a Ricebird, and she is just as fun-loving yet mysterious.  She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Houston Baptist University and a Master of Divinity from Baylor’s Truett Seminary. Shannon came to UH in 2016 after serving as BSM director at South Plains College in Levelland, TX and College Minister at University Baptist Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She loves to cook, watch documentaries about things people will never ask her about, and gardening. Shannon is married  Paul Lambert in 2021 and is being educated on all things computer and Star Wars.

Joshua Boucher

Associate Director

Joshua was raised in the small town of Dublin, TX. His family taught him many important skills related to ministry, construction, farming, and games. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Texas A&M University. During his time at the Aggie BSM he felt God call him to reach college students with the gospel. After graduating, he served campuses in both Texas and Oregon, then moved to Louisiana to get a Master of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. While finishing his masters, Joshua began working for Go Now Missions, which sends Texas college students on short term mission trips. Eventually, God called him back to serving directly on a college campus so he joined the UH BSM team. 

Alex Sanchez

BSM Associate to Internationals

Originally from Mexico, Alex Sanchez has made Texas her home with her husband, Ronald, and their three children. A UTPA Biology graduate, she has spent the last several years serving college and international students through BSM and founded Global Engage, a ministry under BSM UTRGV that mobilizes local churches to welcome international students. Alex now serves with BSM at the University of Houston, where she looks forward to connecting with and welcoming students in the name of Jesus. Outside of ministry, she loves baking, hosting, and gathering people around the table.

Hannah Jones

BSM Associate

Hannah graduated from the University of Houston in May of 2022 with a degree in American Sign Language Interpreting. She has been involved in BSM all four years of college and now is serving as a CMI. She met her husband Michael when they co-led Freshman Bible Study. She loves to play board games, hang out with people, and loves coffee. So if you ever want to go and get coffee to let her know.

Keila Flores

BSM Coordinator

Keila graduated from UH in Fall of 2024. She served 1.5 years as a campus missionary before moving to coordinator. Keila graduated with a degree in graphic design and loves making the world more interesting and beautiful. She met her fiancé as a freshman at UH and will marry him next summer. Keila enjoys a good cup of coffee, papusas, and helping others grow in their faith.

Olivia “Liv” Mcgaughran

Campus Missionary

Liv is a University of Houston Alumni. She grew up in Tyler, TX, and a few other places along her journey. Liv graduated in May 2026 and was the BSM President during her senior year. She serves at Hope House in inner-city Houston reaching underserved kids from the neighborhood. She is passionate about kids and is starting her masters to be a school counselor. Liv enjoys sharing about Jesus and helping other grow.

Caleb Kirchner

Campus Missionary

Caleb graduated from UH in the Spring of 2026. Caleb served on the Leadership Team’s Prayer Team for 4 years. Caleb enjoys sports particularly the Astros, and has worked as a little league umpire so nothing can shake him. He also enjoys meaningful friendships and helping guys grow in their faith.
